A THAI woman has set a strange new record - holding a scorpion in her mouth for over two minutes.
The "Scorpion Queen", Kanchana Kaetkaew, carried out the weird feat in Pattaya, a city by the Gulf of Thailand.
She was assisted by her husband, Bunathawee Siengwong.
Bizarrely Siengwong is himself known as the "Centipede King". The pair were married in a haunted house on 2006.
As she wore a white dress covered in scorpions, he placed a centipede in her mouth.
On the day of her record the 39-year-old wore a similar dress, also covered in scorpions.
Now she plans to break another record - staying in a glass compound with 5,000 live scorpions for 33 days.
Perhaps unsurprisingly she is not up against much competition - she set the previous record herself in 2002.
