Sexy lingerie models steam up Columbia Fashion Week

Colombian models show off their curvaceous figures in swimwear - and others wear potty kitchen headwear down the runway during Colombiamoda, Columbia's Fashion Week

LACY lingerie, pearl necklaces and flowers to boot... not that these ladies needed any accessories to enhance their beauty.

Perhaps that's why two designers at Colombia's most prestigious fashion event turned pot plants and a kitchen colander into hairpieces.

Colombian designer Laura Martinez attached ferns in white plastic pots to black headbands and probably giggled as her fearless models traipsed down the runway in pleated crepe cocoons.

Her countryman designer Marta Castano opted instead for a silver satellite-like headpiece set off with dramatic Clockwork Orange-esque eyes.

Colombiamoda, held in Medellin, showcased some of the sexiest bodies on the planet, along with some of the most environmentally friendly fashion.

While most of the babes in Leonisa lingerie could do no wrong in their innocent frills and girly pastel shades, exercise underwear label Tarrao made their long-haired lasses look like vixens in black stretchy cottons fit for a nightclub, or boxing ring.

Colombia claims to have one of the most active fashion industries in the western hemisphere, and hope to enhance international trade further.

About 450 Colombian and international companies showed off their products to 1,400 fashion importers from all around the world.

The organization is expecting some 12,000 visitors.
