London is becoming the naked city as random stripping-off around the capital reaches bizarre levels: Pics

WHAT is it about London that seems to trigger a need in some people to strip off in public?
One day we have hundreds of men and women striding apparently naked across the Millennium Bridge and another a similar number shedding their clothes for a nude parade along the South Bank, close to the London Eye, with only fake leaves to cover their modesty.
Okay, both were part of well-choreographed promotional stunts for an airline and a car maker - and those involved were handsomely rewarded,
But there seems a tad less explanation for these other instances of birthday suit bonkersness, which have included:
* Naked London Girl: The beautiful blonde who delighted crowds and paparazzi outside a West End nightclub when she performed an impromptu, but very professional strip!
* Mass naked cycle: The cyclists and skaters who rode around London to make a statement about 'body freedom'
* Nell McAndrew: Who joined scores of women to race topless around Hyde Park (okay, this one was for chairty)
* The real-life Lady Godivas: A dozen actresses who rode around Hyde Park topless to help promote a Lady Godiva film
* Naked Mayfair girls: No, not thaaat Mayfair! But these squatters who took over a posh gaff in W1 could well have graced the pages of a top-shelf mag with their nude 'art' photos
* Naked Tube girl: And, we all know the Victoria Line can get a bit warm, but just what was this woman doing in the buff on this rush-hour Tube train?
* Naked London Girl 2: Again there seems no plausible explanation for why this attractive young woman should feel the need to disrobe for the paparazzi lenses in a London street
