MAYOR Boris Johnson has featured in an unofficial poster for the London 2012 Olympics.
An imaginative artist has mocked up this sketch of Mr Johnson posing with a table tennis bat, paying tribute to the Mayor’s famous whiff-whaff speech.
During the Olympic handover ceremony, Mr Johnson spoke about the origins of ping-pong, claiming that the Brits has introduced the game in the form of whiff-whaff.
First played on the posh dining tables of British aristocrats, Boris used whiff-whaff as an example of the country’s great sporting heritage.
He said: “The French looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to have dinner.
“We looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to play whiff-whaff.”
