Abseiling nuns promote Whoopi Goldberg's Sister Act
Sisters in stilettos rope their way down the London Palladium in the West End

TOURISTS and Londoners in the West End had a holy unexpected surprise on Thursday when six “nuns” were spotted abseiling down a theatre.
The rappelling sisters were part of a stunt intended to promote the new stage musical of Sister Act, produced by Whoopi Goldberg.

The abseilers, clad in full habits and black patent stilettos, scaled the Grade II-listed London Palladium building.
Bill Taylor, producer of Sister Act, said: "The nun fun is just beginning!"
American actress Patina Miller, 24, is to make her West End debut playing the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier in the musical comedy, alongside Sheila Hancock as Mother Superior.
Dad's Army and EastEnders actor Ian Lavender also stars as Monsignor Howard.
The show opens at the London Palladium on June 2, following previews.
