Andy Murray attacks depth of UK tennis as six Brits crash out of Wimbledon on day two
World number three is the only Brit left in Wimbledon men singles draw after beating American Robert Kendrick 7-5 6-7 6-3 6-4 in opening SW19 clash

ANDY MURRAY is determined to keep the British flag flying high at Wimbledon and says he cannot afford to worry about his fellow colleagues crashing out of the competition at the first attempt.
Murray is the only British male left in the tournament after beating American Robert Kendrick 7-5 6-7 6-3 6-4 to book his place in the second round of the competition.
Former Wimbledon champion John McEnroe called it a “B performance”, but the world number three says he was not worried about his form at the All England Club.
With so many Brits falling at the first hurdle, the pressure is growing even more on Murray to deliver, but he insists it will not detract him from trying to win his first grand slam.
Murray said: “I'm not worrying about what those guys are doing. I'm worrying about my own games and my own tennis.
“It's disappointing. The depth needs to get way better. It's not acceptable. They are not at the same level as a lot of guys. They don't play at this level too often because they're not ranked that high, so when the tight moments come, they don't play as well.
“Regardless of whether there's ten Brits, I'm still going to take care of my own business and not worry about what's going on with the other players.
“If you start doing that, you kind of get distracted and you're not putting a 100 per cent focus on yourself, which is what I need to do for the next couple of weeks.”
Murray is also refusing to be drawn into a war of words with former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash after he said the British number one had the “most boring, monotone voice in the history of the planet”.
Cash, who won the title back in 1987, believes Murray can almost send people to sleep but has a Wayne Rooney feel about him.
Murray smiled when he heard about the comments and added: “I don't really care, to be honest. I've said I don't think my voice is particularly interesting, but I don't need it to be.
“I let my tennis do the talking. I think my tennis is exciting.”
