QPR boss Jim Magilton has taken former Republic of Ireland international on trial and is in talks with Argentina midfielder Alejandro Damian Faurlin over possible move to Loftus Road
6 July 2009
QPR have taken David Connolly on trial and want to sign Argentina midfielder Alejandro Damian Faurlin.
Connolly, 32, is a free agent after being released by Sunderland and is hoping to secure a move to Loftus Road.
The former Republic of Ireland forward is likely to play in a pre-season friendly against Aldershot this weekend.
Highly rated playmaker Faurlin, 22, is due to arrive in London for talks on Monday.
His performances for Argentinean side Instituto have sparked interest from a number of Italian clubs, but Jim Magilton hopes to make Faurlin his first signing as QPR boss.
Magilton’s assistant, John Gorman, recently watched Faurlin during a scouting trip to South America.
