Ashley Cole has signed a new four-year deal at Chelsea
The former Arsenal full-back pens new contract which ties him to the Blues until 2013
2 September 2009
ASHELY COLE has signed a new contract, which will keep him at Chelsea until 2013.
The former Arsenal defender is the second Chelsea player to pen a new long-term deal this week, after club captain John Terry agreed a new five-year contract on Monday.
Cole has played for the Blues since a high-profile move from capital rivals Arsenal in 2006.
Despite a slow start to his Chelsea career, the 28-year-old rediscovered his best form and was voted Players Player of the Year last season.
The England full-back also became the first player in history to win five FA Cup winners medals in the modern era, after Guus Hiddink’s Blues beat Everton 2-1 in May's showpiece at Wembley.
