FORMER Wimbledon crowd favourite Tim Henman passed on his tips to budding tennis players in a coaching session.

The ex-tennis player took time out after commentating on last week's tennis championships to visit Mellow Lane School in Hayes after it won a competition.

The former SW19 semi-finalist and world number four was on hand to give the pupils a few tips to improve their game.

The school in west London won a competition in which entrants were given the task of producing a piece of artwork bases around their all-time favourite Wimbledon legends.

The competition was part of Shine, a week-long celebration of all talents in all children and young people, which began yesterday.

The winning prize was served up to the school following a national Shine competition, launched in partnership with HSBC, one of Wimbledon's sponsors.

The Shine week kicked off yesterday with a hundred young street-dancers performing on the roof of the Southbank Centre to star in a new dance track video, Bring it Back.

The video aimed to bring back famous "old skool" dances from the 80s and 90s, such as The Running Man and The Robot.

Brit-award-winning rapper Ms Dynamite joined the kids to appear in the track.

A spokeswoman said: "In keeping with the ethos of Shine, the dance gives these young people a chance showcase their talents and provide a platform for the hundreds of young and gifted performers that exist across the capital."
