A MAN from south London has been arrested on suspicion of murder over a body discovered in woodland in Surrey.
Police believe the body, found in Banstead Woods, could be that of a 55-year-old woman reported missing from her home in Coulsdon, Surrey, on Monday 10 August after her car was found in Banstead.
Her name would not be released until the body had been formally identified, a Surrey Police spokesman said.
The 50-year-old man from Wallington was arrested on the A39 in Somerset.
He was taken to Woking police station, where he was questioned.
