London ambulance services were called to Wandsworth Road just before midnight yesterday after a 25-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds.

He was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital. Some time later, another man arrived at a south London hospital with gunshot wounds. Both men are in a stable condition and their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers from the Metropolitan police’s Trident team, which deals with gun crime in London, are leading the investigation into the shooting.

Police said they believe the two incidents were related and there have been no arrests.
