Two arrested after dead teen found in car in Waterloo

Two men aged 18 and 20 have been arrested over the death of 19-year-old Carl Beatson Asiedu from Norbury, south London. His body was discovered when police pulled over three cars near Waterloo station on Saturday morning

THE teenager found stabbed to death in a car near Waterloo station has been named as Carl Beatson Asiedu from Norbury, south London.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the 19-year-old’s death.

At 5.10am on Saturday, officers discovered Beatson Asiedu's body after they pulled over three cars that had run the lights on Baylis Road, Waterloo.

Beatson Asiedu was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have informed his next of kin.

Investigating officers believe he was stabbed in a fight outside Club Life nightclub in Goding Street, Kennington.

A second man - also 19 - was found in Goding Street with stab wounds.

He was taken to a south London hospital and has since been discharged.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man at his south London home at 7pm on Saturday. The teen is in custody at a south London police station.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, a 20-year-old man went to a south London police station and was arrested. He remains in custody.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Goding Street area at around 5am on Saturday to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
