Teenager arrested over Leytonstone acid and knife attack
An 18-year-old man is being questioned by police over an attack on a man who had acid thrown in his face and was stabbed twice in the back in east London

A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with an acid attack and stabbing in Leytonstone.
Police arrested the 18-year-old man in Waltham Forest, east London, following the attack early on Thursday morning.
The victim, a 24-year-old man from Denmark who is of Asian background, is still fighting for his life in hospital.
He is in a coma and could lose his sight if he survives.
He was walking along Marchant Road in Leytonstone at 2am on when he was set upon by a gang of youths.
The group threw acid over the victim, causing serious burns to his face and chest, before stabbing him twice in the back.
The gang were reportedly wearing masks and gloves so they would not be burnt by the acid.
Despite being seriously hurt, he managed to escape his attackers and call for an ambulance.
Police are keeping an open mind about the motive.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and information about the attack.
