A SCHOOLGIRL from north London being treated in Greece for swine flu remains in a serious but stable condition, a hospital spokesman said on Saturday.
Natasha Newman, 16, from Highgate is in an Athens hospital after falling ill on the island of Kefalonia.
A spokesman for Penteli Children's Hospital in the Greek capital said: "Her condition is the same.
"It has not improved or deteriorated.
"For the moment, we have a situation which is serious but stable."
Greek doctors said this week the teenager had contracted the illness in the UK, but did not seek treatment until her symptoms became critical.
Her parents, Julian Newman and Nikki Boughton, are with her.
Natasha, a music enthusiast, has this year taken her GCSEs at Gordonstoun public school in Elgin, Scotland.
It is not known whether she has underlying health problems.
An eight-year-old girl was one of four recent deaths linked to swine flu in London, it emerged on Friday. All four had underlying health conditions, NHS London said.
The girl died at St Thomas' Hospital on Sunday while a man died at the same hospital on 21 July.
A woman died on 15 July at Northwick Park Hospital in north London.
So far, 27 people in England have died from the virus, according to Government figures.
