Belgravia house on sale for £100m could beat the record for London’s most expensive home
14 April 2009
A LUXURY terrace house has gone on sale for a potentially record-breaking £100m, an estate agent has announced.
The six-storey property in Belgravia, central London, has 20ft ceilings, lavish fixtures and more than 21,000 square feet of living space.
Knight Frank estate agents, which is selling the Belgrave Square house on behalf of a Lebanese developer, declined to reveal further details of the property.
"All viewers will have to sign a confidentiality agreement before seeing the property," said Stuart Bailey, partner of Knight Frank's Belgravia office.
"The buyer will be expecting the best of the best, something that is not achievable in other properties in London."
The current record London house price is £80m, which was paid for a house in Upper Phillimore Gardens, Kensington.
Managing director of Black Brick Property Solutions Camilla Dell said it was unlikely that a house would sell at such a high price.
She said: "We have seen a number of record sales being achieved but these properties normally come with large plots of land, a massive house and a driveway.
"We have noticed an increase in activity but not at this price level."
