Detectives are investigating a shooting in south London after a man was injured in Halesworth Road, Lewisham

A MAN is recovering after being shot in the street in south London.
The 22-year-old victim was in Halesworth Road, Lewisham, when a gunman opened fire on him.
He was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition after he was shot just after 11pm last night.
A police spokesman from Trident, which targets gun crime in the capital, said there have been no arrests.
The area was cordoned off as detectives made inquiries into what happened and are speaking to residents in the area.
"We sent and ambulance crew, a duty manager and a medical team in a car. Our staff treated a man for his injuries and took him to hospital"
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we were called at 11.03pm on 3 August to reports of a shooting on Halesworth Road.
"We sent an ambulance crew, a duty manager and a medical team in a car. Our staff treated a man for his injuries and took him to hospital."
Doctors describe his condition as serious but not life threatening.
There have been a string of shootings across south-east London in the past few months.
Last month 24-year-old Nathan Williams of Kennington was found in a VW Golf suffering from gunshot wounds in Ludwick Mews, New Cross.
