Taxi row death
A MAN has been found guilty of killing a father with a single punch in a row over a taxi.
Daniel Clarke, 22, of Harlow, Essex, inflicted a fatal blow on 34-year-old Mark White in the early hours of March 21 last year.
Police said Mr White, of Harlow, died in hospital after being punched in the head by Clarke when a brawl erupted in Harlow town centre.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said Clarke was found guilty of manslaughter following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Martin Pasmore, of Essex Police, said: "This is a tragic case where humorous banter over a taxi booking turned violent and resulted in the death of Mark White.
"Mark had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time and was caught up in violence of which he played no part."
Police said Mr White, a father-of-one and step-father of three, had been due to get married last year.
Clarke was remanded in custody to be sentenced at the court on April 3.
