STORMS battered London over the weekend, causing flash floods in Golders Green, while thunder and lightning split the sky over Westminster.

Hail was spotted in Stoke Newington on Saturday night, while Andy Murray managed to dispatch his third-round Wimbledon opponent just in time to avoid the rain.
Elsewhere in Britain the storms caused more serious damage. A teenage boy is in critical condition after being struck by lightning in Birmingham. Mohammed Hussain, 17, suffered a heart attack and stopped breathing before paramedics managed to revive him.
Mohammed’s uncle, Matloob, said: "He's been unconscious the whole time. He has massive scorch marks down the whole of his body, it's terrible."
In Hertfordshire a six-year-old girl was killed and six people, including her mother, were injured in a car crash as the torrential conditions made driving treacherous.
A Renault Megane and a Mercedes crashed on the A412 and the victims were airlifted to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We sent six ambulances and an air ambulance to the crash, which we were called to at around 6:15pm.
“Sadly we couldn’t do anything to save the six-year-old girl.”
