iPod listeners branded most annoying by capital?s commuters

iPod rage

COMMUTERS who listen to loud music on iPods have been branded the most annoying of all by fellow travellers.

They have beaten those with large rucksacks, people who speak loudly into their mobile phones and those suffering coughs and colds, in new research to find the most hated commuters.

Runner-up in the annoying commuter stakes among people who travel on trains, the Tube and buses, was the traveller who insists on reading a broadsheet newspaper at full stretch on a packed train.

At number three was the early morning or late night traveller found asleep and leaving a trail of dribble on their neighbour’s shoulder.

A spokesman for Jetsleeper, which carried out the poll, said: “Commuters have a lot to withstand without having to put up with annoying fellow travellers... being generally unsociable on public transport.”
