23-year-old loses fight for life after being hit by lorry in Earls Court Road

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was knocked down and killed in Earls Court.
The 23-year-old was crossing Earls Court Road when she was struck by a lorry.
She was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead at 3.15pm on Wednesday.
The lorry driver stopped at the scene and was interviewed by police.
Officers investigating the incident,near the junction with Old Brompton Road, have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
A Met spokesman said: "At this early stage it is believed the woman was crossing the road when she was struck by the lorry.
"The lorry stopped at the scene. Earls Court Road is a particularly busy thoroughfare, especially at this time of the day, and anyone who was in the area and witnessed this incident is urged to contact the Met's Collision Investigation Unit at Euston Traffic Garage on 0207 321 9907."
