Hundreds of fans were tonight waiting outside the Odeon Leicester Square for the Sex and the City stars to arrive - and judging by star Sarah Jessica Parker's outlandish hat, they weren't going to be disappointed.
Some had been there since 4am. Max Douglass, 19, from Knighton, Wales, was one of the first, arriving armed with a camera.
Asked which of the leading ladies was his favourite, he replied: "I love all of them."
There have been plenty of rumours about the film's plot, but he said: "I haven't got a clue."
Rosie Salter, 28, from Flitwick, Bedfordshire, arrived at 10.45am.
"My legs are killing me," she said. "I love it. I want to see the girls. I have got my box set to be signed.
"I love them all. They are all so different."
Asked what she hoped would happen in the new movie, she said: "I think it's going to be Big and Carrie getting married and Charlotte getting as many children as she wants."
"I think Carrie will marry Big, fingers crossed, but I'd prefer to have him for myself."
She said her favourite moment from the TV series was when Carrie and Big have an argument just before she leaves for Paris.
"It's really heart-wrenching," she said. "And I love it when she gets back from Paris and sees the girls and they all scream."
Kate Collister, 23, from Clapham, London, had also brought her box set to get it signed and had arrived at 10am.
"Me and my friends are just obsessed by Sex and the City. I try to live my life according to it.
"I want to see their clothes. I want to see Big, but I'm not sure if he's coming.
"The atmosphere has been brilliant. I came by myself, but I have made lots of friends."
Asked about her hopes for the movie, she said: "I'm not sure I want Carrie to get together with Big in the end. I have heard Steve cheats on Miranda and I hope that's not true. I hope Samantha and Smith get married. They are gorgeous together."
She said her favourite moment from the series was when Big turns up in Paris, but added: "But I like the scene when Miranda and Steve kiss and get back together and all of the sex scenes between Samantha and Smith."
Charlotte Chapman, 18, from Woodford, London, arrived at 8am. "I am in love with the show. I think they are great actresses, I idolise them.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm so happy it's in London, not New York. It's such a great opportunity."
She added: "I love Carrie and Miranda, but I love Sam too. She is hilarious. She cracks me up. If I had to pick a favourite it would be Miranda. She's got a great sense of humour and she's natural."
She said her favourite moment from the series was "everyone's favourite".
"It's when Big goes to Paris and gets Carrie. There are so many, every single episode is so special."
She said she had heard rumours someone dies in the film.
"I hope it's no one big. Apparently, Steve cheats on Miranda, but I hope they stay together and I hope Samantha and Smith get married. I hope they all just live happily ever after."
She said she did not know if this would be the end of the Sex and the City story.
"I do think there might be more. The whole show was so phenomenal, but you don't want them to keep on dragging it out and ruining it."
Ella Burgess, 18, from St John's Wood, London, arrived at 8am.
"Carrie is my favourite character. I just love the clothes. I'm really interested in fashion. My favourite outfit is Carrie's Oscar de la Renta dress.
"But, personality-wise, I quite like Miranda."
She said she hoped Carrie and Big would get married.
"I have heard quite a lot of stuff that there's a death, which is surprising, but I hope the film's not too disappointing. I hope it's true to the series."
Most of the crowd were young women, but there were a few male fans. Among them was Adrian Cole, 23, from Dartford, Kent.
"I want to meet the girls. I love it. My favourite is Kim Cattrall. She's good looking."
He said he had no idea what the plot of the film would be, but would "take it as it comes".
Asked what his friends thought about him being a fan of the hit show normally associated with female fans, he said: "My friends think I am on the other bus, but, as long as I know I'm not, that's all that matters."
To prove the point, he had brought along girlfriend, Amanda Martin, 17, also from Dartford. The couple had arrived at 1.15pm.
Amanda said: "I love Sarah Jessica Parker. She strikes me as funny."
