SHE famously fell out with Nicole Richie and has had spats with Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barto.

But now Paris Hilton is on the hunt for a new British soul mate for a new TV series it was revealed today.

The hotel heiress will put a string of hopefuls to the test in a spin-off version of MTV’s Paris Hilton’s My New BFF which is already causing a stir across the pond.

The 27-year-old star of The Simple Life has been quick to lay down the pre-requisites of any “British bestie” claiming they should be “hot”, “real” and “loyal”.

Speaking ahead of the ITV2 show Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend, she said: “Everyone knows I love LA but London watch out - I’m coming to town and bringing my fast-paced life with me.

“I’m in the UK all the time, but of course I cant’ bring all my friends so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond.”

In the US series, to air this autumn, 20 candidates vying to befriend the socialite moved to Los Angeles to live in a house and compete in tests of “loyalty, endurance and girl politics”.

And now she is inviting British fans between the ages of 18 and 28 to email her at paris@itv.com for the chance to be her new pal. They will share a house and gradually be eliminated until one of them is chosen as Hilton’s favourite.

She said: “I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and wont’ be a backstabber. I’m not leaving London until I find that amazing girl or guy who can meet the challenges of being my British bestie.”

The show was unveiled at ITV2’s autumn launch where the broadcaster revealed the latest array of celebrity shows that will be hitting our screens later in the year.

Zai Bennett, ITV2 controller, said: “We’re launching a stellar line-up of programmes with some of the best talent on British television. Billie Piper will star in an all new series of Secret Diary of a Call Girl while Leigh Francis will be joined by Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton in a brand new panel show Celebrity Juice.”

Meanwhile presenter Mica Paris will front a string of celebrities who will take to the sky for a new show along with Steps star Lisa Scott-Lee, The X-Factor singer Chico, comedienne Amy Lame and Neighbours actor Dan O’Connell.

The high-flyers will battle it out in CelebAir, cruising at 35, 000 feet, and competing to become the show’s best employee, winning thousands of pounds for the charity of their choice.
