Boy, 14, remanded on arson murder charge
The teenager appeared at Balham Youth Court charged with the murder of a 15-year-old girl and the attempted murder of her family members following a house fire

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy appeared in court today charged with the murder of a teenage girl in an arson attack on her home.
The boy, who cannot be named, was charged with the murder of a 15-year-old girl, who died last Thursday after being injured in the fire in south London early on Sunday 21 June.
He was also charged with four counts of attempted murder against the victim's mother and three siblings.
The siblings are still in critical condition, according to police.
The boy, who appeared at Balham Youth Court, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey in London on July 16.
