Victoria Beckham in Michael Jackson tribute at Met Bar
Ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham requests a heap of Michael Jackson songs in tribute to the late star on a night out at the Met Bar
27 July 2009
VICTORIA BECKHAM enjoyed a wild night honouring the late king of pop Michael Jackson .
The former Spice Girl paid tribute to the singer during a drinks session at Met Bar on Saturday night, when she marched up to the DJ and urged him to play a series of Jacko’s hits.
"Victoria treated pals to a huge round of drinks in a private booth,” a source said. “She just stuck to fresh mint tea and pineapple chunks.
“The party really started when the DJ played her requests – she was cheering and dancing as a medley of MJ classics, including Thriller and Billie Jean, pounded out.”

It was a big night out for Victoria, who ditched her crop in favour of hair extensions slicked back into a bun.
The singer, in town to plug her new fashion range, dined with designer Marc Jacobs at Cecconi’s earlier that evening, before heading to the bar with another bunch of friends to remember Jacko, who died last month.
“She looked like she partied herself out,” continued our source. “She hit the sack at around 2am – leaving her entourage with more drinks so they could stay at the bar until closing time.”
Victoria got the top room at Park Lane’s adjoining Metropolitan Hotel while fellow guests Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls were shunted down to lower floors.
But the PCDS might have been more unhappy that lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger, had her own suite while the rest squeezed into one. Miaow!
