LONDON socialites including Daisy Lowe, Sarah Harding and Lola Lennox are flown in for the normally stuffy Henley Royal Regatta.

The normally staid event got an unusual injection of London scenesters yesterday who were helicoptered in by Mayfair club Mahiki.

Club owner Nick House, who is hosting a Mahiki tent at the annual summer boaterfest, chartered a chopper for VIP guests, including Daisy Lowe, Sarah Harding, DJ Tommy Crane and Lola Lennox.

The four-seat craft made five return journeys to pick up celebs there.

One guest not climbing on board was Kelly Osbourne. Kel, who was DJing at the bash, told theBuzz it was a family order from mum Sharon after the family’s bad history with transport accidents.

"We have a bad family history with plane crashes, which makes you nervous and my mum says no to helicopters"

"We have a bad family history with plane crashes, which makes you nervous and my mum says no to helicopters." She instead took a car from her folks’ country pad.

With palm trees, hula girls and burlesque dancers, the bash was a world away from the usual Henley events.

Although perhaps Kelly’s fiance Luke Worrall realised he had gone a bit far for the Oxfordshire scene when arriving with a "wife-beater" singlet with "I heart crap" written on it. He soon switched to a smarter white one.

Harding, just back from Ibiza, is getting into the rural way of life, raving about her Buckinghamshire base and her skills on the Aga.

But she was less happy about the lack of sleep she was getting – blaming bulldog Claude.

"He gets into bed with us and you have to get to sleep before him because he snores," she told us.
