Winehouse says Blake didn't hit her

Amy: Blake found me with hooker and drugs

Junkie singer Amy Winehouse  today made a rambling plea over the shocking pictures of her wandering around Oxford Street blood-soaked and battered, claiming her husband didn’t beat her up.

She said reports that she was fleeing Blake Fielder-Civil after a heroin-induced bust up at the Sanderson Hotel were misleading and that her husband had, in fact "saved" her life.

Lifting the lid on the seedy world of junkies, she revealed she was about to shoot up with a prostitute in the hotel when Blake walked in and she “lost it”.

The Camden singer texted a well known Hollywood showbiz website at about 9am this morning begging it to set the record straight after seeing reports of her bust up with Blake today.

“I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”

She told Perez Hilton, Blake was “an amazing man” who stepped in an “got badly cut for his troubles”.

She added: “Blake is the best man in the world. We would never ever harm each other.

She and her husband had checked into the hotel three days ago after she quit an Essex rehab for crack and heroin addiction.

But by the early hours of yesterday morning their lives had descended into bloody chaos.

At 3.3am yesterday morning, she fled the hotel screaming and crying with her husband, who was covered in scratches, chasing after her down Regent Street.

She had a bruised neck, dressings to wounds on her arms from apparent self-mutilation and ballet shoes soaked in blood from syringe injections between her toes.

"She was 200 yards in front, she was yelling her name," the witness told The Sun. He frantically checked doorways and even wheelie-bins for her.

Eventually he found her and they returned to the hotel arm and arm at around 4.30am.

Police today said they had received a complaint about the row at the hotel.

"After receiving a complaint from a third party, police spoke with a woman but she made no allegation of criminal offences."

Yesterday the couple moved to a Covent Garden hotel - she was spotted walking out of the hotel clutching a photograph of their wedding under her arm.

Last night she seemed to have regained her composure but had not patched things up completely with her husband.

After moving hotels earlier in the evening, a bruised Amy Winehouse ventured out with a friend and visits Balans restaurant in Soho.

She obviously didn't tell Blake as he came out looking for her and asking photographers where she went.

Perez said she texted him several times.

The first text read:: “Blake is the best man in the world. We would never ever harm each other. Take back what you said on the [Perez Hilton] blog. I thought you was my girl. I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”

In a second text she said: “I’ll be alright. I need to fight my man’s corner for him though. X”

In a third text she said: “For the last time he did not and never has hurt me. Say I told you what happened on your blog. He has such a hard time and he so supportive. Please make amends. Kiss. Amy x”

A while later she texted Perez again to plead: “Please can you put up the truthful version straight away? It’s bad enough that it’s been there that long.

"I know you love me but he deserves the truth, he is an amazing man who saved my life again and got cut badly for his troubles. All he get is horrible stories printed about him and he just keeps quiet, but this i too much. Thanks girl. Amy”
