We can exclusively reveal that this track has been co-written with hit songwriter Andre Merritt, who boasts Rihanna and Chris Brown among his clients. He also posted an early version of Cheryl’s tune online.

It sounds like the lyrics come straight from Cheryl’s heart, following a turbulent few years being married to Ashley, as the chorus goes: "Anything that’s worth having /Is sure enough worth fighting for/Quit is out of the question/We make a stop, gotta fight some more."

Cheryl’s version will get its first play on Radio 1 at 8am on Monday.
