KIMBERLEY WALSH has been crowned the face of fashion label New Look.

The Girls Aloud singer will front the high street chain's autumn/winter 2009 campaign, following the lead of Drew Barrymore, Agyness Deyn, Lily Allen and Alexa Chung, who have modelled in the past.

The deal was struck between New Look and the 27-year-old after she was lauded a modern-day icon by the store's online community.

They said they idolised the singer for her “real” figure, sophisticated style and for being “the girl that girls love”.

That was enough for the label, who nabbed her as a clothes horse for its sexy new range - which makes the most of Kimberley's curves.

Dresses are dolled up with sequins, backless styles and zips, and there's a stunning “Gladiator” frock covered in silver and black stud and bead work.

New Look is also introducing the "coatigan" - a coat-cardigan hybrid cinched with a belt.

Other looks we'll be seeing Kimberly showing off are a Daisy Duke-style lumberjack shirt and a classic beige or electric blue trench coat, given an overhaul with a round collar.

Kimberley will be also be modelling New Look's new signature denim line, Yes Yes, which comes in an eight to 26 size range.

Whether you are a fan of the boot cut, rock ‘n’ roll skinny, low-rise hipster, straight leg or flare, New Look says it has something for everyone.
