Budding actors will get a chance to impress the casting agents of Channel 4’s hit TV show Skins as it launches a nationwide search for fresh talent.
The Skins Live Tour will arrive on 26 April at The Bloomsbury Ballroom in London’s West End to search for the new cast of Series Three.
Ticket-holders – on sale now for £10 – will be sent a script to help them prepare for an audition at the party which will be filmed for SkinsLife.com.
Live acts billed to perform include upcoming indie bands The Teenagers, Ladyhawke, The Rascals and We Smoke Fags.
DJs The Freelance Hellraiser, Shitdisco and Cassette Jams will also appear during the night running from 9pm-2am.
Skins co-creator and executive producer Bryan Elsley said: “We’ve been hunting for identical twin girls and a Polish guy through SkinsLife.com and we’ve had a fantastic response.
“We’re now looking for all sorts of people for Series 3 - from extras all the way up to lead roles.”
New music talent looking for a big break can also win the chance to perfrom with big-name acts by posting their material online.
SkinsLife.com users will vote for their favourite entries to select the winners.
Skins music boss Alex Hancock said: “We’ve had some brilliant music posted in our Parties competitions at SkinsLife.com.
“Everyone here liked one particular track so much, ’Jenny Jones’ by Paper Heroes, we’re using it in Episode 9 of the current series.”
The final episode of Skins Series 2 airs on E4 on Monday 14 April at 10pm, repeated on Channel 4 on Thursday 17 April at 11pm.
