The Maccabees - 'Wall of Arms' album review
27 April 2009
Three years after the south London quartet popped out their solid art-rock debut Colour It In, they’ve blossomed into an elegiac cross between Kings of Leon and Arcade Fire (and indeed, borrowed the latter’s producer).
Thoughtful, inspiring and drivingly powerful, Wall of Arms is a diamond in the yawning miles of rough that is Britain’s indie scene. Treasure it.
