They’ve got the title right: going strong since 1981, this Japanese pop-punk trio made a drooling fan out of Kurt Cobain and are still sweet enough to lure these days.

Part Shangri-La’s, part Ramones, you can’t resist the charm of lyrics like “Let’s have a BBQ party, it’s a sunny day/Let’s have a BBQ party, under cherry trees” (from BBQ Party) without being a real meano, so give in, and don’t.
