According to Moby, he was inspired by David Lynch to get back to basics on this new album, which is a more intimate affair than we’re used to from the guy who sold 10m copies of breakthrough album Play and went all disco for 2008’s Last Night.
Mournful vocals from unknown artists, muffled recordings and melodies as wispy and slow-moving as clouds add up to a dreamy record that’s hard to hate. But Lynchean? You wish.
