Leona Lewis: ' I want to stay normal despite fame'
The X Factor superstar is back with a new single, Happy, and it could be her biggest and best yet - but she still prefers life with her friends and family to the glitz and glam of celebworld

SHE'S back - and could Happy be Leona Lewis's biggest hit yet?
The X Factor star releases the new single from long-awaited new album Echo in November, and on iTunes from next week, but sneak previews have been met with great reviews.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton says: "We cried the first time we heard it - it's that amazing." Other sites have branded it "a powerful and moving [surefire] number one" and "middle of the road" but "bloomin' good".
Sporting a superglam new look, Leona tells the Big Issue it's taken nine months to make Echo perfect: "It's the time it takes to have a baby! I call this album my baby. I've worked so hard."
But she insists the showbiz lifestyle still isn't turning her head: "I’ve learned how to decipher the true, genuine people from the ones that want to know you for their own benefit. I come from a very normal place with a normal family and I definitely stay true to that. There are moments when I’m like, ‘Wow,' but at the end of the day you need a reality check and mine is friends and family.”
The new Big Issue is out today.
