Jet ditch their Aussie Oasis tag in favour of widening their retro reach. Moving on from the Beatles-esque dreaminess of 2006’s Shine On, there’s more than a slight suggestion of The Kinks (Hollywood), while She’s a Genius recalls an on-form Clash.

As the swish classic car on the reverse cover handily illustrates, like all Jet’s work, this is a Driving Album, so if you’re not listening to it while flooring the accelerator, a few of its joys may be missed.
