After hearing great things about Japandroids I finally heard them. The Vancouver duo pump out the maximal happy fuzz you loved to get wasted to when you were 16 and it still felt wrong.

The decidedly poppy vocals lift the growly garage sound out of the dirt like a Ritalin-starved Black Kids. Guitarist Brian King shares mic duty with drummer David Prowse – not the tall one who played Darth Vader, though. Prepare to feel the force.
