All you have to do is show off your interior design flair by creating your dream room with the easy-to-use mydeco 3D room planner tools. Alternatively, you can submit a photograph of a room you are particularly proud of that demonstrates your interior design talent. A team of mydeco experts will then pick the room they think is most worthy of the £5,000 prize.

Some hints and tips the mydeco team of stylists will be looking out for:

· Colour and texture: purple and tartan are hot looks this season and lace is also being seen in all the right places.

· Space: most Londoners live in small homes so make sure you are making use of all nooks and crannies.

· Lighting: you can completely transform a room with lighting.

· Furniture: rooms should be functional, not a wild mix of furniture.

The competition is open to UK residents, aged 18 and over. Any person or persons connected with By Design (UK) Limited trading as "mydeco" or NI Free Newspapers Limited trading as "thelondonpaper " , without limit, their families, agents, subsidiaries or anyone else involved in the administration of this offer are not eligible to enter. The competition will close at 10am on 21 October, 2008. The winner will be selected by the mydeco judging panel and notified within 7 days of the closing date. Judges will be looking out for creative use of colour and texture, space, lighting and furniture. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be contacted via email to confirm their postal address before the prize will be confirmed, otherwise an alternative winner maybe selected. By saving your mydeco 3D room design with ‘makeover’ in the name, or uploading a photo of your room to mydeco between 7 October and 21 October, you are confirming you agree to have the room posted on a gallery on mydeco.com and on thelondonpaper.com

There is one first prize, of £5,000 to spend on mydeco.com. The winner will be contacted by a mydeco representative and will then select the items they wish to purchase up to the value of £5,000 (to include all shipping and delivery charges) from mydeco.com , the items will be delivered to the winner's home. Any amounts over £5,000 will be the responsibility of the winner. The entire prize must be redeemed at the same time. There will be no cash alternative and in the event the entire prize is not used by the winner the unredeemed amount will be forfeit .
