Zombie invasion to hit Wales
Zombie nation
Thousands of Britons were today warned to be prepared for an invasion by hundreds of the "undead".
The horrific sight will befall Cardiff later this month as it hosts an attempt to break the world record for the largest "zombie walk".
Antony Lane, 29, who comes from Grimsby but now lives in Cardiff, is behind the world record attempt to cram more than 1,000 people dressed as zombies into a night club.
As well as raising money for the Help A South Wales Child charity, Mr Lane said the event will be an ideal opportunity to scout for extras for a film his company, Indywood, plan to shoot next year.
"Anybody that turns up will get the first chance of being an extra in Invasion of the Not Quite Dead as a thank you to those people making the effort to come out," he said.
"We are aiming for over a thousand people taking part if we can. We have taken away the biggest element which is having to dress up beforehand.
"We have got the Cardiff joke shop behind the event and they are providing us with enough zombie blood and make-up for 2,000 people."
The doors to Jumping Jaks night club will open at 6pm on 21 November for the record attempt and the first two hours will be devoted to giving people who haven't come made up as zombies, a makeover.
There will be official count at 8.45pm followed by a photo shoot at 9pm. An aftershow zombie party will run into the early hours of the morning at the nightclub.
The official record for the biggest 'zombie walk' of 894 was set last year in the Monroeville shopping mall near Pittsburgh, USA.
