Get your kicks from biker boots this summer
Everybody's wearing biker boots right now, so here's our favourite fashionable footwear

BOO sucks, weather. We will no longer be caught out by your monsoon rain while wearing suede gladiator sandals. We will not tolerate dirty wet toes, or have stained and dip-dye effect leather pumps following a sudden downpour. You have left us no choice but to bring forward one of autumn’s biggest trends and beat you by wearing it now.
Ankle-length biker boots (in black only, mind) should be on our September/October shopping list, but the schizophrenic summer has forced them out early and made them ideal for August.
Worn with an expanse of bare, fake-tanned leg, they allow us to acknowledge our cute summer wardrobe while shielding us from the elements. Not to mention dragging out a potentially expensive purchase into a year-round staple.
There is a sock issue, though. Winter boot socks are much too thick for summer, while going without is smelly and uncomfortable. A fine weave cotton sock is perfect, or cut a sock from an old pair of tights to avoid slippage.
