Robbie Williams and Whitney Houston set for comeback gigs at The O2
With both stars releasing new albums this year, execs trying to fill the concerts gap left by Michael Jackson's death are convinced they've found the perfect pair to play at the North Greenwich venue

ROBBIE Williams and Whitney Houston are finalising the details of their mega-comebacks with kingpin shows at O2 Arena early next year.
AEG, which owns the 20,000-seat venue – the most successful music arena in the world – is looking for some huge names to fill the void of concerts left by Michael Jackson’s death.
Houston, 45, and Williams, 35, are releasing long-awaited new albums this year, and AEG believes they have identified two artists with sufficient profile to sell out a series of gigs at the Greenwich venue.
Music industry insiders are particularly excited about the buzz surrounding Houston’s forthcoming album, Look To You, her first for seven years, and concert promoters are desperate to stage her live comeback.
An AEG source said: “Whitney Houston has been on the O2 arena wish-list for a while — she has the voice and hits to sell the arena out several times over.”
Williams's new album, Reality Killed the Video Star, is released in October, and will be his first since 2006.
