GLASTONBURY has surprised punters by rolling out some of music's biggest-hitters - and looking to the past for inspiration.
Reunions and old faces make up the most of the festival's line-up: headline acts at the three-day event on the Pyramid Stage are Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Blur.
Other veteran performers included in the bill are Status Quo, Tom Jones, Madness and Tony Christie.
This year the festival sold out in February, with most tickets being bought the previous autumn.
Sales flagged for the 2008 festival with thousands left in the run-up to the event, which some put down to the unusual choice of rapper Jay-Z as headliner.
Organiser Emily Eavis told The Guardian: "We know that there will be objections to whatever we do but if last year taught us anything, it was that we have to follow our gut instinct.
"Risks pay off, and featuring Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in one weekend was a choice that surprised many. But we had a chance to get both performers and we had to take it."
The line up for the Other Stage features younger acts including Bloc Party, Ting Tings, Pendulum and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Black Eyed Peas and The Streets will perform in Jazz World, while Doves, Jarvis Cocker and Echo and the Bunnymen headline the John Peel stage.
This year's festival takes place from 26 to 28 June. It's completely sold out but we've got three pairs of tickets to give away - go to our competitions page for more details.
