Topping this year’s bill are Manc miserabilists Doves, grime don Dizzee Rascal and American soul legend Smokey Robinson. Joining them are festival faves Florence and The Machine and electro rockers Metronomy.

The series of innovative concerts will take place at The Roundhouse from 20–24 October.

Doves’s hits will be reworked by the 40-strong London Bulgarian choir on 22 October.

Frontman Jimi Goodwin said: "It is going to be really special," said frontman Jimi Goodwin, adding: "The voices of the London Bulgarian Choir are just unbelievable, and it is brilliant just to get the chance to play the songs differently for the Roundhouse audience."

Dizzee is planning a few “serious” surprises with a little help from electronic mash-up collective, Young Punks who collaborated on his last album Tongue N’ Cheek. The Heritage Orchestra will also join him, marking the once-underground MC’s first gig with a live band, horns and string section.

Flame-haired Flo and Metronomy will add a multi-media element to their performances on Thursday 22 October, playing alongside premiered short films from the winners of the BBC New Music Shorts 2009.
