1. Go Murray-mad at a street bash
Steakhouse Gaucho and Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill have astroturfed Swallow Street into a tennis court street party, with netting down the middle and giant screens showing the matches. Staff dressed in sports gear will serve Pimm’s trifle and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

2. Find ‘love’ in Liverpool St
The trendy Andaz Hotel kicks off its pop-up summer garden with a Wimbledon theme and a free cocktail for anyone dressed as a Womble. Nibble on cones of strawberries and ice cream served in a tennis racquet. Lovestruck? Check out Singledon, a free dating night on Friday when couples will play “love tennis” to find their match.

3. Show off your tennis whites
The forecourt at restaurant-cum-boutique Bluebird in King’s Road is being turned into a tennis tropicana, with astroturf, giant tennis balls, specially designed Lanson champagne cocktails and a special Wimbledon menu with BBQ food from £8.50.

4. Watch midget tennis at an 80s party
The outdoor terrace of Greenwich’s THAT Club will be turned into a lawn court with staff in 80s tennis gear, five sorts of Pimm’s and a match between midget players in John McEnroe wigs.

5. Practise your backhand on the big screen
The Everyman cinemas in Hampstead and Belsize Park are screening every match live from SW19. Play Grand Slam Tennis on the Wii at Belsize Park’s new tennis lawn and nibble on Wimbledon-themed snacks. To anyone watching the men’s final in tennis whites, there’s a free glass of Pimm’s.

6. Serve up an ace in Mayfair

8. Slurp up some strawberries
Head to Kettner's in Soho for its limited-edition tennis teas. For £15, you get delicious red velvet and lavender cupcakes, tea, sandwiches, scones and pastries along with a choice of strawberries and cream, strawberry pavlova, or strawberry-and-vanilla tart.

9. Play games at Udderbelly
