1. Go Murray-mad at a street bash

Steakhouse Gaucho and Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill have astroturfed Swallow Street into a tennis court street party, with netting down the middle and giant screens showing the matches. Staff dressed in sports gear will serve Pimm’s trifle and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

2. Find ‘love’ in Liverpool St

The trendy Andaz Hotel kicks off its pop-up summer garden with a Wimbledon theme and a free cocktail for anyone dressed as a Womble. The ­forecourt at ­restaurant-cum-boutique Bluebird in King’s Road is being turned into a tennis tropicana, with astroturf, giant tennis balls, specially designed Lanson champagne cocktails and a special ­Wimbledon menu with BBQ food from £8.50.

4. Watch midget tennis at an 80s party

5. Practise your backhand on the big screen

The Everyman cinemas in Hampstead and ­ Belsize Park are screening every match live from SW19. Play Grand Slam Tennis on the Wii at Belsize Park’s new tennis lawn and nibble on Wimbledon-themed snacks. To anyone watching the men’s final in tennis whites, there’s a free glass of Pimm’s.

7. SW19 with a Camden edge

Glam Pan-Asian eatery Gilgamesh becomes a mini Wimbledon with astroturf throughout the Player’s Lounge, where you can sip Murray Martinis, and eat strawberry-and-cream wontons.

8. Slurp up some strawberries
